Għarb
The word Għarb means West and in fact this village is situated in the West of Gozo. Għarb was given the status of a parish in 1679 and the church has a baroque style. Għarb’s square is a typical Gozitan square with the magnificent facade of the church enhancing its beauty, the cross of the square which dates back to the 17th century and also a folk museum which is full of all sorts of things pertaining to the history of our islands.
L- kelma Għarb tfisser punent u fil-fatt dan ir-raħal jinsab fil-Punent ta’ Għawdex. L-Għarb ingħata l-istatus ta’ parroċċa fl-1679 u l-knisja. Il-pjazza tal-Għarb hija pjazza tipika Għawdxija b' faċċata mill-isbaħ tal-knisja li ttejjeb is-sbuħija tagħha, is-salib tal-pjazza li jmur lura għas-seklu 17 u wkoll mużew tal-folklor li hu mimli b’kull xorta ta’ affarijiet li għandhom x’jaqsmu mal-istorja tal- gżejjer tagħna.
